Projects

The City of Brussels is cementing its Smart City ambitions through a number of projects that have been completed or are currently under development. These projects, launched or supported by the City, are a response to the challenges identified in the 7 fields of action of the Smart City. 

The bAIcycle project from Sentigrate is one of the winners of the Smart City project call 2023, supported by the City of Brussels. The aim: to use citizen science to classify the condition of bike paths using a smartphone app.
As part of the Smart City 2024 call for projects, the winner Autonomia has launched the BrusselsCity.AccessAll.be project.

The City of Brussels, along with other players, is supporting the setting up of the MolenGeek artificial intelligence project, called MolenGeek Laeken, which was inaugurated on 25 September 2024 in the presence of the King.
