IT Support in the City of Brussels

In the midst of the digital transition, the City of Brussels wishes to protect and promote human rights in the digital sphere while reducing the digital divide. It was in this context that the City launched its Digital Rights Charter in 2023 (https://smartcity.brussels.be/projects/digital-rights-charter-city-brussels). As part of this charter, the City wishes to offer a centralised view of all the digital help points on its territory.

The aim of these maps and lists is to:

• help front-line workers to direct citizens to the digital help points best suited to their needs or closest to their homes;

• enable non-profit organisations and other support bodies to find out more about other digital support structures in their neighbourhood, so that they can work together or more easily refer citizens to services that complement their own;

• make it easier for people to find the type of digital support that they need, close to home

In the following brochure, you will find more information on the various digital assistance locations in the City of Brussels. They are classified by type of assistance (access, training, support, etc.) and in alphabetical order.

All the digital support places available in the City are also mapped on the city’s open data site: https://opendata.brussels.be/explore/dataset/aide-numerique-sur-le-territoire-de-la-ville-de-bruxelles.

In the online version (via the above link), in the left-hand column, you can refine your search by clicking on one or more filters.

Simply click on filters at the top left of the page to filter on the basis of new criteria.

Clicking on one of the pointers on the map will give you more information about the location (name, address, type of assistance, telephone number, etc.).

Clicking on the slider on the righthand side and dragging it downwards will reveal even more information about this digital help location.
