Winners of the Smart City 2019-2020 call for projects

Following the success of previous editions, the City of Brussels has launched a third call for Smart City projects. From the applications received, five have been selected and awarded financial support from the City in order to turn their projects into reality. Listed below are the successful projects:

Cargo bike

Asbl Taxistop - Pilot project for sharing vans and cargo bikes in Brussels to avoid buying vehicles that are costly from a financial and ecological perspective.

Jeasy sa - Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform: urban mobility coach. Based on the user's preferences, Jeasy shares recommendations for the user's journey.

Arts & Publics- Gendercraft is a video game workshop that tackles the issue of gender inequality for children aged 10 to 12. Using the Minecraft platform, the aim of the workshop is to raise participants' awareness of the inequalities that exist between men and women in society as well as to encourage debate and reflection on this issue.

SAS Mile Positioning Solutions - Runnin'City aims to provide Brussels with 30 multi-generational running and walking routes. The app will guide relatively sporty individuals and budding athletes to the route of their choice, allowing them to explore the city or a district on foot, whether running or walking.
